Central Florida Employment Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
This is not a traditional Monday through Friday position. Regular availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Live events happen outside of normal business hours, and flexibility is essential. About the Role An established independent live music venue in Central Florida is seeking an experienced Live Music Operations Lead (Concert Production & Artist Relations) to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of concerts and special events. This position blends concert booking support, artist relations, venue production, and event operations into one leadership role. From reviewing offers and advancing nationally touring artists to leading day-of-show operations, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every event is executed professionally while helping drive the continued growth of the venue. This is a hands-on leadership position with significant autonomy and influence over the success of the venue's concert operations. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing an offer, advancing a national tour, coordinating with artist management, solving backstage challenges, and leading a team on show day. You'll work closely with venue ownership, artists, agents, managers, tour managers, promoters, third-party talent buyers, and internal departments while overseeing every stage of the event lifecycle from the initial offer through settlement and load-out. This role offers the opportunity to become a key leader within a growing live music venue. The right candidate will play an active role in shaping concert operations, artist relationships, and the overall guest and artist experience. Primary Responsibilities Concert Booking & Administration Prepare artist offers under the direction of venue ownership. Review incoming offers from promoters and third-party talent buyers. Assist in evaluating booking opportunities, routing, and show strategy. Confirm artist contracts and event dates. Maintain the venue's master event calendar. Coordinate show announcements, on-sale dates, and event timelines with artist management, promoters, and internal marketing teams. Ensure accurate communication of event information across all internal departments. Artist Relations & Show Advancement Advance all concerts with artists, agents, managers, tour managers, promoters, and production teams. Coordinate technical riders, hospitality riders, lodging, parking, credentials, catering, and backstage logistics. Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, tour personnel, promoters, and industry partners. Deliver an exceptional artist experience through proactive communication and hospitality. Event Operations Lead all day-of-show production from load-in through load-out. Develop and manage production schedules and run-of-show timelines. Coordinate soundchecks, backstage operations, hospitality, and artist needs. Serve as the primary production contact for artists, crew, promoters, and venue staff. Resolve production and operational issues with professionalism and urgency. Assist with artist settlements and post-show reconciliation as needed. Leadership & Venue Operations Lead, mentor, and support the Production Assistants, stagehands, and production staff. Coordinate staffing requirements for each event. Ensure production equipment, backstage areas, green rooms, and venue spaces remain organized, maintained, and show ready. Monitor hospitality inventory and production supplies. Coordinate production vendors, equipment rentals, and production related expenses. Continually improve production workflows, operating procedures, and venue standards. Qualifications We're looking for someone who understands the business of live music not just the production side.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working for a live music venue, concert promoter, festival, or touring production. Experience advancing concerts and working directly with artists and their representatives. Strong understanding of technical and hospitality riders. Experience working with independent promoters, third party talent buyers, and artist management. Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A calm, solutions oriented approach under pressure. Strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with artists, promoters, vendors, and staff. Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, calendars, and event management software. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary based on experience Performance based bonus opportunities Paid Time Off (PTO) Health insurance Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Why Join Us? Live music is what we do, but people are what make it happen. We're looking for someone who wants more than a job. If you're passionate about live music and excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at an independent venue, we'd love to hear from you.
