Role Description The Editorial Intern role at TheYouthTalks is an on-site internship based in Delhi, OH. The intern will support the editorial team by researching topics, pitching ideas, drafting articles, and assisting with copyediting and fact-checking. Daily responsibilities include reviewing submissions, preparing content for publication, coordinating with writers, and helping maintain the editorial calendar. The intern may also assist with social media posts related to published content and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new series or campaigns. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in editorial workflows, content development, and collaborative publishing within a youth-oriented media environment. Qualifications Strong writing and editing abilities, with attention to clarity, structure, and tone. Research and fact-checking skills, including the ability to evaluate sources and synthesize information. Interest in youth issues, social topics, and current affairs, with a willingness to explore diverse perspectives. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented editorial setting. Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain editorial standards. Familiarity with basic digital tools (e.g., word processing, online collaboration platforms); experience with content management systems or social media is a plus. Current student or recent graduate in Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred. Demonstrated interest in writing or publishing through school projects, personal blogs, campus media, or similar activities.
