REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of technical writing, proofreading, and editing experience; OR Master's degree and 1+ years of related experience; OR 7+ years' of experience in lieu of a degree
Experience editing technical documentation such as reports, manuals, test plans, letters, and briefing materials
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to review and edit content from multiple contributors for consistency, clarity, grammar, and compliance
Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience using LaTeX Editor
Experience creating or modifying document styles, cross-references, bibliographies, and tables of contents
Experience supporting technical or engineering teams with documentation efforts
Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) systems
Experience working in modeling and simulation (M&S) environments
Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Literature, Engineering, or a Science-related field
Society for Technical Communication (STC) coursework or certifications
JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Secret Technical Editor to support a government-focused team responsible for modeling and simulation (M&S) programs in Charlottesville, VA. This individual will review, edit, and proofread a variety of technical documentation, including user manuals, test plans, technical reports, briefing materials, and other deliverables. The ideal candidate has experience ensuring technical documents are accurate, well-organized, grammatically correct, and maintain a consistent voice across multiple contributors. This person will work independently while collaborating with engineers, analysts, and technical teams to produce high-quality documentation supporting mission-critical efforts.
