Design Report to: Design Department Manager Established in 1979, Max Studio is a contemporary women's apparel brand known for timeless design, quality craftsmanship, and strong wholesale partnerships. Our teams work collaboratively across departments to bring collections from concept through market and production. Position Summary The Design Intern will assist the Design Department in maintaining and organizing the trim archive, including labeling, cataloging, filing, and updating trim samples and related information to ensure materials are easily accessible to the Design Department. This position provides exposure to the apparel design process and product development through hands-on work with the design resources that support them. Responsibilities Maintain and organize the trim archive, including buttons, zippers, labels, tapes, elastics, hardware, and other trim samples. Catalog and properly label trim samples for easy identification and retrieval. Keep the trim archive organized by category, type, color, size, and/or supplier. Update and maintain records of new and existing trims. File and organize trim cards, sample references, and supplier information. Remove outdated or duplicate samples as needed and maintain an accurate archive. Assist designers with locating trim samples and preparing materials for design projects. Ensure the trim archive remains neat, accessible, and up to date. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Fashion Design or related apparel design program. General knowledge of the apparel industry, garment construction, and fabrics. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Interest in current fashion, apparel, and market trends.
