$19/hour, 40hrs/week Position Summary The Design Assistant supports the Design Team in the creation, organization, and execution of seasonal product assortments. This role assists with design concepts, visual assets, and product presentation across consumer and wholesale channels to ensure consistency with brand vision and business goals. Key Responsibilities Design Support Assist designers with seasonal concept development, inspiration boards, and color/material direction Assist and help VP of Product Development & Design keep to and monitor deadlines within the annual Design T & A calendar Create and update design sketches, line sheets, and visual presentations Support design revisions based on internal (company) and external (customer) feedback and merchandising needs Assist in building and maintaining line plans and product assortments Prepare and maintain product information for sales, marketing, and e-commerce teams, including organizing, preparing, and shipping samples Support the coordination of product photo shoots for all collections, including model casting and production logistics Manage the photo retouching process for all collections by bridging communication between designers and external retouchers to ensure accurate and timely image delivery Administrative & Team Support Maintain organized files, calendars, and design/merchandising documentation Monitor office supplies, equipment, mail distribution, and upkeep of common areas Provide administrative support to the VP of Product Development & Design, including scheduling meetings and events, and coordinating travel arrangements The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Essential physical requirements may include:

Standing for extended periods during fittings and sample reviews Sitting and working at a computer for prolonged periods Using hands and fingers to handle garments, measuring tools, and samples Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling apparel samples, garment racks, or boxes weighing up to approximately 30 pounds Reaching, bending, and moving within sample rooms and office spaces Reasonable accommodations may be made so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Experience working with product line management systems is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills & Traits Passion for design, fashion, and merchandising Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through Creative mindset balanced with business awareness Team player with a willingness to learn and grow

Pay:

From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
