In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients visiting our showroom, providing expert guidance on product selections, design options, and installation services. Your expertise in high-end sales, interior design, and technical proficiency will ensure an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for renovation and construction projects, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence clients' spaces while working in a vibrant, design-driven environment.
Showroom Consultant:
Customer Service & Sales:
Greet walk-in guests and scheduled appointments, determine their project needs, and provide expert product recommendations.
Design Guidance:
Assist clients with color schemes, material choices (such as tile, stone, or fixtures), and space planning.
Administrative & Order Management:
Use order-entry and CRM systems to check inventory, verify pricing, create price quotes, and process customer orders.
Showroom Maintenance:
Keep sample libraries, product displays, and the overall showroom floor clean, organized, and up to date.
Trade Relationships:
Build and maintain strong working networks with local contractors, interior designers, and builders to drive repeat business.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Background in retail sales, customer service, or a related field; experience with plumbing, lighting, or building materials is a strong plus.
Education:
High school diploma required; an associate degree or background in interior design is frequently preferred.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and active-listening skills to understand client visions and explain technical product features.
Tech Literacy:
Comfort using point-of-sale (POS), inventory look-up, and CRM software.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays. 8am through 5pm
Physical Effort:
Involves standing or sitting for long periods, interacting on the showroom floor, and occasionally lifting or moving product samples weighing up to 25-30 pounds.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
