$3,500.00 - $8,000.00 per month Job description: Cleopatra Ink Tattoo and Piercing is seeking a creative and talented Tattoo Designer for our Jacksonville location who can produce original, high-quality, and practical tattoo designs tailored to our clients' needs and expectations. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop (PSD) and vector-based design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Procreate, or similar tools. They should also have a strong artistic eye and the ability to transform ideas into professional tattoo designs that are both visually striking and suitable for application. Duties and Responsibilities Create detailed, original, and custom tattoo designs based on client requests and expectations Work directly with clients to understand the theme, style, meaning, and visual direction of each design Use Photoshop (PSD) and vector-based design software to prepare clear, scalable, and tattoo-ready design templates Prepare design files in formats suitable for printing, stencil production, and tattoo application Ensure technical accuracy in all files, including proper layer structure, resolution, color setup, and output quality Stay current with tattoo trends, styles, and modern design approaches in order to provide fresh and visually compelling work Consider body placement and anatomy when developing designs to ensure a strong visual fit on the client Revise and refine designs based on client feedback and tattoo artist input Ensure the final design is fully prepared for approval in both artistic and practical terms Qualifications Experience in tattoo design or graphic design A strong portfolio showcasing relevant work Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (PSD) Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or other vector-based design software Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual composition Familiarity with tattoo styles such as Traditional, Neo-Traditional, Realistic, Black & Grey, and Watercolor Ability to produce high-quality work using both raster and vector formats Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and team members Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment A genuine passion for tattoo art, design, and creative production Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a tattoo studio or working directly with tattoo artists Knowledge of anatomy and understanding of how designs appear on different parts of the body Ability to create mockups or placement preview visuals for tattoos Experience with additional design tools such as Procreate, Affinity Designer, or similar software Overall Profile This position is ideal for someone who is not only skilled in design, but also capable of understanding a client's vision and transforming it into a professional tattoo concept that is both aesthetically strong and technically suitable for tattoo application.
