Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Artist to join our Art Department. This is a production-focused graphics position centered on creating accurate customer proofs, preparing and adjusting supplied artwork, and ensuring requests are represented correctly before moving through the manufacturing process. This is not primarily a concept-design position/Graphic Designer. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently with established artwork and customer specifications.

MUST BE IN THE CALHOUN, GA OR SURROUNDING AREA.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds Must be able to bend/squat to measure as needed in a production environment.

•This is for an in house position. We are not looking for a freelance partnership

•Responsibilities Create customer proofs from supplied artwork and order information. Clean up, resize, adjust, and prepare customer artwork for proofing. Review proofs for spelling, colors, dimensions, orientation, layout, and overall accuracy. Compare proofs against customer artwork and requested changes. Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information and request clarification when needed. Make production-related artwork adjustments within established guidelines. Work with both vector and raster artwork. Process proof revisions accurately and efficiently. Maintain organized files and follow department naming and workflow standards. Perform final quality checks before proofs are released. Manage multiple jobs while meeting established turnaround expectations. Qualifications Experience with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar graphic software . Strong understanding of vector and raster artwork. Knowledge of basic color, resolution, fonts, scaling, and common graphic file formats. Strong proofreading and visual-comparison skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret dimensions, artwork instructions, and customer requests. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment. Previous experience in production art, prepress, large-format printing, signage, textiles, promotional products, or manufacturing graphics is preferred.
