Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer / Sign Layout Designer to join our team. In this role, you will learn real-world sign production—vehicle lettering, storefront signs, logos, banners, layouts, customer proofs, and preparing files for production. You will bring visual concepts to life across various media. Adobe Illustrator experience a must. Your energetic approach and technical proficiency will help craft compelling designs that communicate effectively and elevate brand presence. Duties Assist in creating engaging sign layouts, including large-format signage, banners, and wayfinding systems, ensuring clarity and visual impact Support the development of branding materials such as logos, marketing collateral, and digital assets using graphic design software Prepare design files for print production, adhering to prepress standards and color management protocols Collaborate with the team on layout design for print advertising, social media content, and website visuals using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, and WordPress Incorporate typography design principles for various media types while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines Assist in photo editing, photo manipulation, and digital art creation to enhance visual storytelling across projects Skills Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Sketch, Figma, and InVision Strong understanding of branding principles, typography, color theory, and layout design for both print and digital media Knowledge of web design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript for UI/UX projects Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Familiarity with sign manufacturing processes and sign layout specifications Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently We are a small sign making shop that is growing!
