Overview We are seeking a talented and energetic Graphic Designer/Production Artist to join our creative team. In this role, you will bring visual concepts to life through innovative design, ensuring all materials meet print and digital standards. You will collaborate closely with editors and marketing staff to produce eye-catching layouts, branding elements, and multimedia content that resonate with our community audience. Your technical proficiency and artistic flair will help elevate our publication's visual identity across all platforms. Duties Develop engaging visual designs for print and digital media, including layouts for newspapers, advertisements, social media, and marketing materials Prepare design files for print production, ensuring color accuracy, resolution, and proper file formatting for various printing processes Create compelling branding elements such as logos, icons, and visual assets that align with the newspaper's identity Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns utilizing Adobe Creative Suite as well as Canva and basic AI tools Ensure consistency in typography, color management, layout design, and overall visual style across all projects Experience Strong organization and communication skills Proven experience in professional graphic design or production art within a fast-paced environment Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Demonstrated ability in digital art creation, photo editing/manipulation, and layout design for print and web media Basic knowledge of prepress procedures including file preparation for print production and color management techniques Familiarity with web development basics is a plus Join us to craft visually effective content that informs and inspires our community! Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
