Creative Director $65,000 - $75,000 - Hybrid Position About the Position We're looking for a versatile, concept-driven Graphic Designer with a strong working knowledge of the fishing industry. The right candidate will use that knowledge to create authentic, informed design for the fishing industry while turning marketing objectives into compelling communications across point-of-purchase displays, advertising campaigns, digital content, sales materials, and other brand touchpoints. You'll collaborate closely with the creative director, marketing, sales, and product development teams to develop ideas from concept through final production. The right candidate combines strong design judgment, an understanding of advertising and marketing, and the production expertise to deliver accurate, polished files across print and digital channels. Key Responsibilities Advertising & Campaign Design Develop creative concepts and visual systems for integrated advertising and marketing campaigns. Design print and digital advertising, email and social graphics, web assets, sales materials, and other campaign deliverables. Translate briefs, brand strategy, and product benefits into clear, persuasive visual communications. Write and refine headlines, short-form promotional copy, and calls to action in partnership with marketing stakeholders. Present design directions, explain creative choices, and refine concepts based on feedback. Point-of-Purchase & Retail Marketing Create point-of-purchase displays, retail signage, merchandising graphics, promotional materials, and in-store campaign assets. Build mockups and presentation visuals that help internal teams and customers evaluate creative concepts. Prepare accurate, production-ready files and coordinate specifications, proofs, and revisions with vendors or suppliers as needed. Brand Design & Production Design and update brochures, catalogs, product sheets, presentations, packaging support graphics, and other marketing collateral. Maintain brand consistency across typography, color, imagery, layout, and messaging. Retouch and composite product photography, create visual assets, and prepare files for print and digital use. Manage multiple projects and priorities from initial concept through final approval while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in an advertising, marketing, retail, consumer products, or in-house creative environment. With an associates/bachelor degree. Fishing industry experience required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience using AI tools to support research, concept development, workflow efficiency, and time management while maintaining strong creative judgment Portfolio that demonstrates point-of-purchase, advertising campaign, marketing collateral, brand design, typography, and layout work. Experience wordsmithing impactful headlines and short-form copy skills, with an understanding of how words and visuals work together to communicate a clear message. A working knowledge of print production, prepress, color management, image preparation, and file setup. Conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, organization, and attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to receive feedback and collaborate across departments.
