Bright Star Business Services LLC is growing, and we're looking for a personable, organized, energetic, and positive graphic designer to become a long-term part of our team. We primarily serve the Amish community with a wide variety of business needs. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do, so we work hard to make every customer feel comfortable, welcome, and confident that their project is in the right hands.
ABOUT THE POSITION A
big part of this position is on-demand design. Many of our customers prefer to sit down with you and watch their project come together, so you'll need to be comfortable designing while working directly with customers. Projects can range from basic typesetting to business cards, forms, flyers, brochures, logos, and more. We rarely turn down a design or typesetting request—which means the work stays interesting, and you may occasionally hear, "I'm not exactly sure what I want, but I'll know it when I see it." Patience and creativity are definitely helpful!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Creating designs and typesetting projects based on customers' needs Working one-on-one with customers during on-demand design sessions Managing multiple projects and keeping every job organized Communicating clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers Answering phones Assisting customers when necessary Opening the office when necessary Pitching in wherever help is needed Producing accurate, thoughtful work and following projects through to completion
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
Has graphic design experience and a strong eye for detail Is personable, patient, dependable, and willing to learn Can multitask without letting important details get lost Works well independently and as part of a team Is comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told every next step Takes genuine pride in their work and cares about the customer's experience Wants to grow with the business and build a lasting position here To be completely honest, we're not looking for someone who simply wants to show up, do the bare minimum, collect a paycheck, and move on in six months. We want someone who is excited to be part of a growing business, cares about doing excellent work, and wants to contribute to the success of the entire team. We don't expect you to know everything on your first day. We do expect effort, patience, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Skills can be developed—but dependability, initiative, and caring about your work are what truly make someone stand out.
HOURS:
