The Product Design Engineer will develop and improve the company's line of products while designing and analyzing components and assemblies within existing and new products to meet client specifications and industry standards. The position will work with the engineering team and be a technical lead in defining what products are to be brought to the market. The successful candidate will have contact with customers and may have to travel to job sites to resolve product installation or operation issues in the field. Advance Products & Systems, LLC., a leader in manufacturing and sales of pipeline accessories is seeking a Product Design Engineer who will be primarily responsible for design and development of new or existing products within the pipeline corrosion prevention industry. This person must be a highly motivated team player who is organized and gives high attention to detail. Specific Duties may include but are not limited to:
Designs, develops, and tests aspects of manufactured products.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products that meets project and/or customer parameters.
Verifies relevant limitations of products and verifies products meet design parameters and customer specs through testing or analysis.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant product design field to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and at a reasonable cost.
Open to changes, training and submitting suggestions for improvements.
Manages personal project work load for the implementation of projects to meet objectives, timely completions, and quality results.
Ensure all documentation has been implemented through
ISO 9001 QC
System to support manufacturing of new products or product improvements.
Provide product support for existing products.
Investigate any product related problems involving the particular product family he/she is responsible for as regards to customers or manufacturing.
Committed to meeting customer's expectations including product quality, appearance, and timeliness while communicating issues to Manager.
Preferred completion of 4 years post secondary curriculum.
Required Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering Knowledge of manufacturing processes CAD (Solidworks & AutoCAD) experience ANSYS experience Ability to meet pressing deadlines with attention to detail Highly motivated and teachable Excellent organizational and documentation skills Strong communication skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. 1-5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
