Job Summary:

The Project Engineer Senior within Roush Products Group (RPG) is a broad role that requires working on a variety of automotive vehicle systems including powertrain, body and chassis related systems. The Project Engineer Senior works in a team environment to understand each product unique needs and will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members. This position is located in Livonia, MI.As a Project Engineer Senior within RPG, you will:

Translate product needs to design requirements and to feasible design concepts and apply relevant engineering analysis to design components and subsystemsManage CAD resources to develop 3D models and 2D printsDevelop & execute Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Validation Plan & Report (DVP&R) documentsConduct hardware development tasks and testing, while supporting prototype, pre-production, and/or production buildsManage build-to-print and full-service suppliersUtilize Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) team or resources to analytically validate designs.

Document & report status internally and externally to customersAddress escalated technical issues and more complex product issuesAssist and coach junior engineersTo be considered as a Project Engineer Senior within RPG, you will need:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineeringMinimum 4 years of experience in automotive or related industryFunctional proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g SolidWorks, Siemens NX Unigraphics (UG), CATIA, etc.)Strong computer skills (e.g Microsoft Office Suite)Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical data to various audiencesHands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide robust solutions to complex problemsA successful candidate may also have:
