Job Description

Are you passionate about engineering, product compliance, and working with internationally recognized certification standards? Join Valmet and play a key role in securing and maintaining Ex-Hazardous Location certifications that support the safety, compliance, and performance of our products. In this position, you will work closely with engineering, quality, and external certification bodies to ensure products meet applicable international standards and certification requirements. If you enjoy technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to product compliance throughout the product lifecycle, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Your responsibilities Liaise with external certification agencies to obtain Ex-Hazardous Location certifications for new products. Coordinate with certification bodies regarding proposed product design changes impacting Ex-Hazardous Location certificates and related technical documentation. Work with external agencies responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) verification concerning updates to product documentation related to Ex-Hazardous Location products. Act as a key contact for coordinating activities related to products intended for use in explosive atmospheres. Support Design Engineering with bill of materials data migration activities. Perform management system-related tasks associated with certification documentation requirements. Perform management system-related tasks related to equipment calibration and maintenance. Create, review, and revise QMS documentation as required. Expectations for you Minimum 2-year degree or equivalent related experience. Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Project management experience is considered an advantage. CAD experience is considered an advantage; training can be provided. Understanding of Ex-Hazardous Locations and Quality Systems according to international standards, including UL, FM, CSA, IEC, and ATEX. Knowledge of Stonel products and product configurations is considered an advantage. To succeed in this role You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with technical documentation, certification requirements, and regulatory standards. You enjoy collaborating with engineering, quality, and external partners to solve challenges and ensure products remain compliant throughout their lifecycle.
