Senior Product Design Engineer The Senior Product Design Engineer will lead the technical aspects of designing, developing, and maintaining electrical products. This role involves hands-on work in designing products, supporting manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement in both existing and new product lines. The Senior Design Engineer collaborates with various departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Customers to deliver reliable, cost-effective electrical product solutions that meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards. This position also involves mentoring other engineers and technical staff. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical products from concept to production release Create and review engineering calculations, CAD models, drawings, specifications, and bills of material Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities; analyze results and implement design improvements Assist with product qualification, life testing, and compliance testing Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturability, repeatability, and cost-effectiveness Provide engineering support for production issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Participate in value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives Support customer applications by evaluating requirements and providing technical solutions Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to resolve technical issues and support product launches Participate in annual budget discussions and cost reduction projects Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 6+ years of engineering experience in electrical product/component design Experience with Autodesk CAD tools and engineering analysis methods
