Traditional benefits are not currently offered Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer specializing in custom storage solutions, luxury walk-in closets, mudrooms, pantries, home offices, garages, and custom organizational systems. This role combines interior design, space planning, and customer consultation to create highly functional and visually appealing storage environments tailored to each client's lifestyle. The ideal candidate has experience using 3D design software to transform client ideas into customized solutions and enjoys working directly with homeowners throughout the design and sales process. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who is passionate about organization, aesthetics, and helping clients maximize the functionality of their homes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand their storage needs, preferences, budget, and lifestyle. Design custom closets, dressing rooms, mudrooms, pantries, garages, home offices, and other organizational spaces. Create detailed 3D renderings and design presentations using industry-specific design software. 3D Closet Pro experience helpful but not required. Develop space plans, layouts, elevations, and product specifications. Recommend materials, finishes, accessories, lighting, and storage solutions that enhance both functionality and aesthetics. Present design concepts and revisions to clients and incorporate feedback. Prepare project proposals, quotations, and design packages. Collaborate with installers, production teams, and project managers to ensure successful project execution. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
Education, training or work experience in Interior Design or related field. Kitchen or bathroom design experience would be welcome. Experience designing custom closets, cabinetry, storage systems, kitchen or bath design or residential interiors. Proficiency with 3D design software and space-planning tools. Strong understanding of scale, proportion, materials, finishes, and spatial design. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read floor plans and perform accurate measurements. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed. Sales or client-facing consultation experience.
Working Conditions:
Combination of office, showroom, and customer home environments. Frequent use of computer-based design software. Occasional lifting of samples, catalogs, and design materials.
