Job Description

Mid-Level Interior Designer Location:
Owings Mills, MD Salary:
$80,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience Position Summary David S. Brown Enterprises is seeking a talented Mid-Level Interior Designer to join our Interior Design team. This role supports multi-family, commercial, and mixed-use projects from initial concept through construction documentation and administration. The ideal candidate combines strong creative design skills with technical expertise and enjoys collaborating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors. Key Responsibilities Support projects through conceptual design, design development, space planning, construction documentation, and administration. Select and specify furniture, finishes, fabrics, materials, color palettes, and lighting. Create plans, elevations, details, specifications, presentations, and 3D renderings. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and product representatives. Assist with site verification, field surveys, finish packages, and cost estimating. Revise drawings and support senior designers throughout all phases of projects. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Qualifications 5-10 years of interior design experience , preferably across multi-family, workplace, retail, or hospitality projects. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D modeling/visualization software. Knowledge of construction documentation, ADA requirements, and state/local codes. Experience across all phases of design: SD, DD, CD, and
CA. NCIDQ
certified or actively working toward certification; LEED or WELL certification is a plus. Strong organization, communication, visualization, and project-management skills.
