Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Interior Designer/Project Manager to join our creative team. In this role, you will lead residential interior design projects from concept through completion, managing all aspects of project execution while collaborating closely with clients, vendors, and contractors. Your expertise in design software and project management will drive successful project outcomes, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to building codes and budgets. Duties Develop comprehensive interior design concepts for residential projects, including space planning, color schemes, lighting, and material selections. Manage all phases of design projects, from initial client consultation to final installation, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Create detailed drawings and construction documentation using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Rhino 3D. Produce high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations using Adobe Creative Suite, 3ds Max, or similar tools to effectively communicate design ideas. Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and preferences while providing expert guidance on building code compliance and building information modeling (BIM) tools. Oversee project budgets, timelines, and procurement processes; negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors. Prepare detailed construction documentation including construction details, specifications, and scope of work for remodeling or renovation projects. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and address any issues promptly. Collaborate with lighting specialists on lighting design solutions that enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality. Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expectations are met or exceeded. Experience Proven experience managing residential interior design projects from start to finish. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite for drafting, rendering, and presentations. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction detailing, and building information modeling (BIM). Experience in drafting detailed construction documents and technical specifications for remodeling or renovation projects. Skilled in client communication, project management methodologies, budgeting, and vendor negotiations. Familiarity with lighting sales and lighting design principles is a plus.
