JOB DESCRIPTION

The person in this position will be supporting the design department at Kendall Design Build.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Design Support:

Assist with creating mood boards, color palettes, and finish sample boards.

Drafting and Modeling:

Produce floor plans, elevations, and basic technical drawings or renderings.

Sourcing:

Research furniture, fabrics, lighting, finishes, and accessories, and request vendor samples.

Documentation:

Prepare FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) schedules, specification sheets, and purchase orders.

Coordination:

Communicate with vendors, showrooms, and contractors, and help maintain the studio's material library

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Education:

A degree (bachelors or associates) in interior design

Experience:

1 to 3 years of working design experience.

Software Proficiency:

Chief Architect, Sketchup, 2020,

Canva, AutoCAD Soft Skills:

High attention to detail, strong multi-tasking abilities, and a collaborative, positive attitude. Reliable transportation and strong worth ethic are required. Familiarity with construction and basic construction knowledge is a plus.

COMPENSATION

• $48,000-$52,000/year commensurate with experience
• $.75/mileage reimbursement/$30/month phone stipend
• Health care and 401K after 90 day probationary period
• 2 weeks paid pto after 1 year

$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
