Kitchen Designer, St. Peters Showroom Hood's Home Center is adding an experienced kitchen designer to the design team at our St. Peters, MO showroom. This is our highest volume location, and it's a great spot for a designer who wants to be busy and get paid for it. Compensation Total compensation of $57,000 to $95,000 per year. That breaks down as an hourly base of $22 to $28 depending on experience, plus manufacturer incentives paid on the cabinets you sell. Incentives are paid directly to you by the cabinet manufacturers, on top of your hourly pay from us. Designers in their first year here typically earn $60,000 to $72,000 all in. Our top designers, who have built up repeat contractors and referral business, earn $85,000 or more, and a strong designer who comes in with a book of contacts can get there in the first year or two. Why designers do well here We are one of the highest volume kitchen and bath dealers in the St. Louis area, and St. Peters is our busiest showroom. We get steady walk-in traffic six days a week, so you spend your time designing and selling kitchens instead of waiting for the phone to ring. We carry in-stock cabinets for quick-turn projects along with KraftMaid, Medallion, and other premium lines, so you can sell to every budget that walks through the door. We're also building out a new dedicated kitchen design showroom at St. Peters, opening this spring, with street-facing window frontage and full scale kitchen displays. It's going to be one of the best design centers in the area, and you'd be selling out of it. What we are looking for 3 or more years designing and selling kitchens at a dealer, showroom, or design center Experience in 2020 Design (now Cyncly Design Flex) or comparable CAD software Comfortable working directly with walk-in customers and managing several projects at once Someone who likes a fast pace. We get busy, and the designers who do best here are the ones who enjoy that Schedule Full time, in the showroom, on a set schedule. Your shift is either 8 to 5 or 9 to 6 and your days off are the same every week, so you can plan your life around it. No rotating schedules or waiting to find out your hours for next week. Saturday is our busiest day and everyone works it. We are closed Sundays, and you get a second day off during the week.
