Job Description

Job Title:
Cabinetry Design Specialist & Showroom Office Manager Location:
Waynesville, NC 28786 (On-site daily)
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday (Weekends off) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, multi-talented Cabinetry Design Specialist & Showroom Office Manager to join our team in Waynesville, NC. This is a fully on-site position responsible for running daily showroom operations—including opening and closing the office—while providing technical cabinetry design using 20/20 Design software and managing client interactions. Key Responsibilities Showroom & Office Management Design Cabinetry Layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms using our software (20/20 Design Live)
Daily Operations:
Open and close the showroom/office daily, ensuring the space is clean, organized, secure, and ready for clients.
Client & Vendor Contact:
Greet walk-in clients, answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and manage general office correspondence.
Administrative Support:
Maintain showroom samples, manage inventory of marketing materials, track client project files, and handle basic office administrative tasks.
Cabinetry Design & Technical Drafting Layout & Design:
Produce accurate, detailed floor plans, elevations, perspectives, and 3D renderings for custom and semi-custom cabinetry projects using 20/20 Design .
Client Consultation:
Consult with homeowners, builders, and interior designers to define project specifications, material preferences, and layout options.
Technical Ordering:
Prepare complete millwork pricing, specification sheets, and manufacturer order packages ensuring exact dimensions, clearances, and structural feasibility.
Project Coordination:
Verify field measurements prior to placing orders and collaborate with installers/contractors to resolve layout or job-site questions.
Qualifications & Requirements Software Expertise:
Proficient experience using 20/20 Design software (version 11 or higher preferred).
Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
Exceptional social skills with an innate ability to "read the room," adapt communication styles to diverse personalities, and build immediate rapport with clients, builders, and contractors.
Design Aesthetic:
A keen eye for interior design, finish selections, and spatial aesthetics is a plus.
Office & Management Experience:
Proven track record in office administration, retail showroom management, or customer service coordination.
Industry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of NKBA design guidelines, cabinet construction types, and appliance integration.
