Dana Bacher Design is a boutique, full-service residential design studio serving high-end and luxury clients. We are the designer behind the Southern Living Showcase Home 2025, and are a multi-award-winning design studio. We take a custom, relationship-driven approach to every project — our clients trust us with their homes, and we take that seriously from the first concept sketch through the final install. Ours is a close-knit team where every member wears multiple hats and takes real pride in the details.
THE ROLE
This is a rare opportunity to grow inside an award-winning studio, with a front-row seat to how a boutique design business really runs — from the first concept sketch to the final styled install. You won't be sidelined on busywork: you'll help shape layouts, pull the fabrics and finishes that bring a room to life, and see your ideas make it into real client homes. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist with furniture layout and space planning for residential projects Pull fabrics, finishes, and materials, and help prepare presentation boards for client meetings Support the design team with product research and sourcing Process purchase orders and track shipments through delivery and install Prepare client invoices and maintain accurate project budgets Coordinate with vendors, workrooms, and trade partners on lead times and specifications Help maintain sample libraries, project files, and studio organization Assist in client meetings, site visits, and installs as needed to ensure accurate implementation of the design
WHO YOU ARE A
trained eye for design, scale, and proportion, paired with genuine creativity Meticulous attention to detail — little gets missed on your watch Self-motivated and reliable, with strong follow-through on tasks and deadlines A hard worker who takes ownership of projects from start to finish Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities — client-driven work rarely moves in a straight line Clear, professional communication, both with clients and vendors Discretion and good judgment when handling clients' personal information and budgets A team-oriented, low-ego attitude and enthusiasm for boutique studio life Comfort with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus Familiarity with studio management or ordering platforms (e.g. Design Manager, Studio Designer) is a plus, though we're happy to train Degree or coursework in interior design, or equivalent hands-on experience, preferred
