EXPERIENCED INTERIOR DESIGNER

Parkway Avenue Design Studio is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our team in Draper, Utah. We are looking for someone who is creative and design-driven, but equally strong technically and organizationally. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who can step into active residential projects, take initiative, manage responsibilities independently, and help move projects forward without needing constant direction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Interior Design or a related design field Minimum 3-5 years of professional interior design experience Strong residential design experience, including remodels and/or new construction Proficient in AutoCAD Proficient in SketchUp Proficient in Enscape or equivalent professional rendering software, with the ability to produce high-quality, realistic interior renderings Strong cabinet design skills, including layouts, elevations, dimensions, construction details and built-ins Ability to create professional floor plans, elevations, space plans and detailed design drawings Strong understanding of cabinetry, materials, finishes, lighting, plumbing, tile, flooring and interior specifications Proficient in Canva Excellent organization and project-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating professionally with clients, builders, vendors and trades Able to draft professional emails, project updates, presentations and client communications Marketing and social media knowledge Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines and details simultaneously Self-motivated and able to take initiative, anticipate what needs to happen next and follow through Outgoing, knowledgeable and personable with strong client-facing skills Team-oriented, dependable and willing to jump in where needed

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be involved in all aspects of our projects, including design development, space planning, CAD drawings, SketchUp modeling, Enscape renderings, cabinet and built-in design, material and finish selections, sourcing and specifying furnishings, client presentations, builder and vendor coordination, project management and client communication. The position may also assist with marketing, Canva presentations, social media, emails and other day-to-day studio needs. We are a busy, full-service residential interior design studio, so we are looking for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of design. Most importantly, we want someone who sees what needs to be done, takes ownership and follows through.

COMPENSATION

$30-$32/hour, depending on experience and skill level.
