Responsibilities Provide interpretation services across multiple modalities, including over-the-phone, in-person, and simultaneous interpretation for a wide range of settings such as medical, legal, educational, and community services. Translate written documents accurately and efficiently, maintaining the original tone and intent while adapting content for cultural relevance. Conduct consecutive interpretation during meetings, interviews, or conferences to ensure seamless communication between bilingual parties. Demonstrate cultural competency by understanding and respecting diverse cultural norms and practices during interpretation sessions. Uphold strict professional ethics by maintaining confidentiality, impartiality, and neutrality in all interactions. Collaborate with clients and organizations to schedule interpretation sessions that meet their specific needs. Continuously enhance language skills through ongoing education in linguistics, interpretation techniques, and cultural awareness. Skills Multilingual proficiency in English and at least one foreign language with demonstrated fluency in both spoken and written forms. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and accurately across languages. Deep understanding of translation principles to produce precise written content that preserves original meaning. Knowledge of interpretation standards related to professional ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality.
