• We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and those who can hear.
• Responsibilities
• Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa accurately
• Provide interpretation services in various settings such as meetings, appointments, and events
• Ensure effective communication by conveying tone, emotions, and nuances of the message
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while interpreting
• Stay updated on sign language vocabulary and industry-specific terminology
• Requirements
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other sign languages
• Strong linguistic skills with the ability to interpret and translate effectively
• Bilingual proficiency is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification or degree in Sign Language Interpreting or related field is a plus
