Job Description

Support students' success by utilizing your expertise in sign language interpretation. An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide essential interpretation services in an educational environment for the first semester. Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings Understanding of classroom dynamics and special education needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with students of varying ages and language abilities Current relevant credentials or certification required for school environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver sign language interpretation for students, supporting them in accessing classroom instruction and school activities Facilitate communication between teachers, staff, and students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with education teams to promote an inclusive learning environment Interpret in a variety of settings including general education classrooms, resource rooms, assemblies, and extracurricular events as assigned Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all situations Prepare in advance for sessions by familiarizing yourself with current topics or lesson plans This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your professional skills in a collaborative, student-focused setting.
