This full-time, full-year contract position focuses on 1:1 interpreting, empowering a student to participate fully in their academic experience.

Qualifications:

Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 Strong fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working within school settings is highly valued Ability to adapt interpreting methods to fit the needs of the student Professional, dependable, and passionate about fostering educational access

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated, 1:1 sign language interpretation for a student throughout the school day Facilitate clear communication between the student, peers, and staff in both classroom and extracurricular settings Ensure the student has equal access to all instructional materials and school activities Maintain confidentiality and a supportive rapport with students and school personnel Adapt and modify interpreting techniques as needed for various learning environments
