Key Qualifications:

National certification (e.g., RID or EIPA) strongly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Prior school-based interpreting experience is a plus Ability to adapt communication methods to meet student and staff needs Flexible, collaborative mindset and professional demeanor

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide interpreting services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in classroom and extracurricular settings Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and school personnel Ensure that educational materials and activities are accessible to all learners Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as needed Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical interpreting standards
