Qualifications & Experience:

ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher is required for consideration Strong command of American Sign Language and professional interpreting skills Prior experience interpreting within school or educational settings valued Ability to work effectively as a 1:1 interpreter, providing tailored support Professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive approach to collaboration

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate, effective interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language for one student in a school environment Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support Adapt communication techniques to meet the students individualized needs throughout the school day Maintain clear, respectful communication and uphold student confidentiality Monitor student comprehension and engagement, contributing to a positive learning experience Participate in relevant training and school meetings as needed
