e2111-98584 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated 1:1 Sign Language Interpreter working directly with students in a school setting. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for professionals skilled in American Sign Language who are passionate about supporting communication and inclusion in educational environments. If you hold an ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher, your expertise will be key in bridging communication and fostering a positive learning experience for students.

Key Qualifications:

Valid ASLPI score of 4.1 or above Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school or similar setting preferred Strong understanding of the needs of Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students Ability to support individualized student goals within the classroom environment Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills Open to local and travel candidates

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct 1:1 interpreting services to students during classroom instruction and activities Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers Support educational objectives by adapting interpreting style to meet student needs Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards Collaborate with school staff and participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings as needed Stay informed on best practices in educational interpreting
