This contract opportunity offers a chance to make an immediate impact, starting on 9/21. In this role, youll be working near Soap Lake, WA, collaborating closely with a dedicated educational team to help preschool students access communication and fully participate in daily activities.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience interpreting in educational or preschool environments preferred Knowledge of Deaf culture and early childhood education best practices Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of young children

Key Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation for preschool students to support effective communication throughout the school day Assist teachers and staff with interpreting classroom instruction, activities, and social interactions Facilitate communication between students, educators, and families as needed Contribute to an inclusive environment that promotes students social and academic development Adapt interpreting techniques and approaches to suit individual student needs and classroom dynamics Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required
