Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part-Time Theater Operations & Lighting Technician to join our vibrant performing arts team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of live events, and special events by managing lighting, audio, and visual elements. Your technical expertise will help create captivating experiences for audiences while maintaining safety and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity and technical skill collide to produce memorable performances. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot theatrical lighting systems, including lighting fixtures, rigging, and control consoles to enhance stage productions. Manage audio and video processing equipment for live events, ensuring optimal sound and visual quality throughout performances. Collaborate with production teams to execute lighting cues, video projections, and special effects in sync with performance requirements. Maintain and inspect theatrical lighting equipment, rigging hardware, broadcast studio gear, and media editing tools to ensure safety and functionality. Assist with filming, videography, post-production editing using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and other media editing software. Support live event AV production projects by operating broadcast studio equipment, lighting for video shoots, and coordinating media playback. Prepare detailed technical setups for rehearsals and performances while adhering to safety standards related to lighting systems and rigging. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency with theatrical lighting equipment, rigging techniques, and lighting systems used in live productions. Experience with media editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator; video editing software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro; motion graphics with Adobe After Effects. Strong understanding of audio systems, video production workflows, broadcast studio operations, and live event AV production projects. Technical proficiency in operating lighting consoles, video projectors, camera equipment, and media servers. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly during live performances or filming sessions. Prior experience working with theatrical or stage lighting design is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$30.00•$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0•24.0 per week
