Job Description

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a skilled, dependable, and collaborative Entertainment Audio Technician to support live music performances and special events across our venues. The role provides technical support for resort events, including ones held at the Sun Valley Pavilion, as well as equipment maintenance and venue system repairs. This is a part-time, year-round role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as lead audio technician for small band performances and events at various Sun Valley venues. Provide support for visiting artist groups and touring performers to execute their events . Work closely with visiting engineers or technicians. Set up, operate, and break down lighting, sound systems, staging, and other production elements as needed. Occasionally provide technical support for other resort events, including the Sun Valley Pavilion. Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and venue technical systems as needed. Other additional duties as assigned by the Entertainment Manager or Technical Director.
Qualifications:
Prior operating experience with basic live audio systems strongly preferred. Valid U.S. Driver's License Basic understanding of computer-based operations, functions and programs, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and other MS Office applications Flexibility to work varying a schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early or late shifts. Ability to follow safety requirements and implement safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions or heights. Work well with a group, provide appropriate leadership, and be comfortable in a fast-moving, dynamic work environment. Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, bending, crouching and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching. Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
