Part-time Pay:

$12 base rate plus good commission pay Base pay: $12.00/hr base rate for starting positions. Commission earnings are paid on top of the base pay and usually range from $2 to $5 extra per hour, especially during special events.

Job Summary:

Locally owned and operated, Get the Picture Corporation, designs and operates state-of-the-art digital photography systems for the theme park, tourist, and retail industries. GTP provides photography services for the Strasburg Railroad. Photographers ride the trains and capture images of guests posing for family shots. We also provide photography services for the Day Out With Thomas and Santa Express events at the railroad.

Tasks:

Greet and engage with guests in various locations throughout the attractions Use a Nikon DSLR Camera to photograph guests Operate state of the art digital photography systems Explain and sell photo products to guests Use a Point-Of-Sale computer to complete sales transactions Assemble photo products Meet and exceed daily sales targets Keep sales area clean and organized

Skills/Requirements:

Positive Attitude and Enthusiasm Ability to maneuver between locations, work outside, and stand for long periods of time Must be able to board a train and safely move from car to car. Reliable, Adaptable and willing to Learn Effective Communication Skills Motivated to work in both team and individual settings DSL camera experience preferred but not required. Since most photography takes place on a moving train, employees must be 16 or older.
