Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Historic Earle Theatre Manager to lead the operations of the Historic Earle Theatre. nity engagement. As the manager you will oversee operations, coordinate special events, run movies, assist with tech for concerts, oversee concessions and sales, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. Depending on skills, this position is potentially full-time with benefits. The Surry Arts Council operates five venues including the Andy Griffith Playhouse, Andy Griffith Museum, Blackmon Amphitheatre, Arts Center and Siamese Twins Museum, and the Historic Earle Theatre. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of theatre operations, including sales, maintenance, movie projection, maintaining inventory, tech support for concerts, and safety protocols to ensure smooth daily functioning. Manage event planning and execution, coordinating with performers, and community groups to deliver successful shows and programs. Handle management responsibilities including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, ticketing, and customer service oversight. Maintain operational records including reports on attendance, incidents, and financial transactions; prepare detailed reports for finance director. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; implement first aid procedures when necessary; maintain a secure environment for guests. Skills Proven experience in event venue management with strong leadership capabilities. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence. Ability to make sound managerial decisions quickly. Experience with budgeting, cash handling, and financial reporting; adept at managing operational expenses efficiently. Technical proficiency related to sound systems, lighting controls, or other theatre equipment is preferred. Knowledge of health & safety practices; first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Job requires ability to lift, and climb stairs.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 32.0 per week
