About Dino Bars:
Dino Bars is a family-owned, USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO kids' fruit bar brand based in Charleston/Johns Island, SC. We're the only brand in the US kids' snack market with an edible wafer paper wrapper - a game-changing innovation that makes snacking mess-free for families on the go. We obsess over quality and purpose, and we're looking for an exceptional operations leader to help us scale from 9-10K bars per week to 14-20K+ bars per week while maintaining our unwavering commitment to clean ingredients and operational excellence. Job Summary The Operations & Production Manager is a hands-on, mission-critical leadership role that bridges strategy and execution. You'll own production planning, process optimization, team leadership, capital budgeting, and supply chain coordination as we scale. Working directly with our founders (Jessi and Gray), you'll be instrumental in transforming Dino Bars from a startup operation into a high-performing, scalable production engine. This is not a "set it and forget it" role. You'll roll up your sleeves daily to lead operations, solve problems in real-time, and build systems that grow with us. If you thrive in fast-paced, lean environments and want to help scale a mission-driven CPG brand from the ground up, this is your role.
Operations Qualifications:
Open the facility each day and ensure readiness of the production area Execute and oversee daily production plans ensuring output meets predetermined volume, quality and safety targets Manage the flow of raw materials, packaging and finished goods to minimize downtime and optimize throughput Ensure compliance with all hygiene and food safety protocols including FDA and other applicable certifications Conduct routine inspections of production and warehouse areas addressing any issues promptly Track, analyze and report daily production metrics to the Operations Manager and Founder Maintain and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and suggest and implement improvements as needed Team & Process Management Hire, train and manage production team members in alignment with business growth Develop and reinforce a culture of accountability, safety and continuous learning Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and scale operations through automation or systems Maintain clear documentation of processes, changes and escalations for traceability and improvement Support the development of scalable systems that ensure consistent production quality and operational visibility Inventory & Systems Maintain inventory control systems for raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods Coordinate with supply chain and operations to adjust forecasts and production schedules Ensure timely communication of inventory constraints or changes impacting fulfillment Responsibilities Open the production facility daily and prepare the area for the daily output needs. Identify and communicate opportunities for increased efficiency around the predetermined daily, weekly and monthly production goals. Manage the Production Process and maintain accountability through demand planning. These operations include contributing to schedules, production operations and more. Your goal will be to oversee daily production and ensure all processes are being followed by staff as documented. Inspect the warehouse and keep the warehouse clean and safe by ensuring all safety and quality procedures. Ensure that the daily production needs are met and documented daily and presented to Operations Manager. Track inventory and adjust processes for management as needed as the business grows. Hire and manage staff as needed for growth Develop and document systems and processes that scale. Work alongside the founder and CEO to identify needs that are critical in continuing to scale our efforts and automate processes to increase production. Manage all certifications and adhere to regulations regarding the production process (eg - FDA) Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, co-packing or a fast-paced production environment Familiarity with warehouse or production software (e.g. inventory, order or warehouse management systems) Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed production KPIs and deliver results in high-accountability environments Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - documents issues thoroughly and escalates when necessary Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand or walk for long periods and perform routine warehouse movements Strong communication skills via email, Slack or project tools Experience with food safety certifications (FDA, SQF, GMP, HACCP) is highly desirable
