We are recruiting an experienced Proofreader to join our talented team of high-impact employees in our Aurora, IL facility. The Proofreader reviews composite proofs for accuracy before sending them to our clients for final approval.
In this position you will:
Become familiar with the specifics of each job, as supplied by the customer. Review proofs to ensure that text and graphic elements meet basic standards of grammar and syntax, in addition to matching customer specifications. Compare proofs to customer supplied composites, proofs and matrixes. Collaborate with various departments such as Variable Imaging, Data Solutions, Quality Control and Customer Service to resolve any discrepancies discovered in text/graphic elements. Maintain an extensive knowledge of all industry standards relative to the proofreader role. Work independently and mentor other employees. Build and maintain positive relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
Experience and Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Intermediate level computer skills within a Windows environment. Previous experience as a proofreader in the direct mail industry is highly desired but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to switch between multiple tasks without compromising quality. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
