Seasonal Holiday Décor Installer & Designer The Lighting Company | Niceville, Florida Part-Time Seasonal Position | September-January Competitive Hourly Pay Based on Experience | Performance Bonuses | Returning Seasonal Opportunities About The Lighting Company Since 2003, The Lighting Company has designed, installed, and maintained award-winning holiday lighting and commercial Christmas décor throughout the Gulf Coast and Southeast. Our work transforms municipalities, luxury resorts, commercial properties, retail centers, and luxury residences into unforgettable holiday destinations. We're seeking a Seasonal Holiday Décor Installer & Designer who enjoys both the creative and physical sides of holiday decorating. This is not a studio decorating position. You'll help design, build, decorate, and install beautiful holiday displays both indoors and outdoors—including garland, wreaths, Christmas trees, teardrops, large-scale greenery, custom décor, and one-of-a-kind holiday installations. This position exists to ensure every installation is visually exceptional, professionally executed, and completed safely and on schedule. The position works under the direction of the Décor Manager and Project Managers while collaborating closely with installation crews. Primary ResponsibilitiesHoliday Decorating & Design

• Design and decorate commercial Christmas trees, wreaths, garland, teardrops, and custom holiday décor.
• Create elegant, high-end displays that reflect each client's style and brand.
• Install ornaments, ribbon, florals, bows, picks, lighting, and specialty decorative elements.
• Fluff and shape greenery for a full, premium appearance.
• Assist with custom décor fabrication and unique installations.
• Follow design plans while contributing creative ideas when appropriate.
• Maintain consistency and quality across multiple projects. Installation
• Install decorated greenery at client locations.
• Carry, assemble, and position large Christmas trees, garland, wreaths, and décor pieces.
• Work both indoors and outdoors throughout the season.
• Safely use ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and installation equipment.
• Secure décor to withstand weather and public interaction.
• Assist with seasonal takedown, inventory, and storage. Daily Operations
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled work.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and décor materials.
• Handle delicate ornaments and décor with care.
• Maintain an organized decorating workspace and warehouse.
• Prepare materials before installations and return them after completion. Professionalism & Safety
• Represent The Lighting Company professionally.
• Follow all safety procedures for ladders, lifts, and installations.
• Protect client property and maintain a professional appearance.
• Communicate project needs and safety concerns promptly. What We're Looking For
• Experience decorating Christmas trees, garland, wreaths, or large holiday displays.
• Strong eye for color, proportion, balance, and design.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to combine creativity with physical installation work.
• Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
• Experience in interior design, floral design, visual merchandising, event decorating, wedding design, retail display, or commercial holiday décor is highly preferred. Physical Requirements
• Lift and carry 50-75 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods while decorating.
• Bend, kneel, reach, climb ladders, and occasionally work from aerial lifts.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule This is a part-time seasonal position running approximately September through January. Hours vary based on production schedules and installation demand. Peak season runs from late September through December. Applicants must be available to work Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving. Work is performed both in our decorating warehouse and at client locations. Compensation
