Responsibilities Engage with customers inside the store and through outside sales efforts to identify their flooring needs and preferences. Conduct product demonstrations, including layout design and lighting considerations, to showcase flooring options effectively. Utilize networking groups as a means of generating sales for both residential and commercial projects. Negotiate pricing, upsell premium products or services, and close high-end sales by understanding client budgets and project scopes. Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills, ensuring repeat business and referrals. Assist clients with remodeling projects by offering expert advice on flooring installation, and maintenance. Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock levels, and product knowledge to support retail sales efforts. Qualifications Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or construction sales with a focus on flooring or renovation products. Strong technical proficiency in CAD software (such as Planswift or similar tools), Microsoft Office suite, and CRM systems for customer management. Knowledge of layout design, lighting design, remodeling processes, and fixture sales enhances your ability to serve clients effectively. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of deal closing and upselling premium products or services. Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases; fluency in English is required. Construction experience or familiarity with building materials, maintenance practices, and remodeling helps provide comprehensive solutions. Exceptional organizational skills combined with customer service expertise ensure smooth project flow from consultation to installation.
