Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with all shipping and inventory management standards. Your proactive approach will help maintain seamless warehouse operations, support order fulfillment, and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Primary responsibilities:
Responsible for on-time shipments and deliveries of trade show materials, ensuring that all exhibits are loaded safely, securely and efficiently while coordinating with the account team and truck drivers. Loading and unloading all trucks, completing necessary paperwork and filing in appropriate Account Managers (AM) mailbox. Notify AM when exhibits have not been picked up as scheduled by the end of day. Maintain inventory of the booth supplies, boxes, pallets, etc, to complete fabrication of exhibit and alert purchasing when levels are low. Communicating with the purchasing department to alert for late shipments. Deliver packages to proper team members or receiving shelving racks. Ensure all outbound packages are packed securely and sent out daily. If outbounds are not picked up, you will inform the appropriate AM leadership team. Keep the dock area clean, clear, and organized. Responsible for the staging, packing, and the complete outbound/inbound process for portal orders. Should remain in, or near the dock vicinity and receiving zones, unless otherwise directed by the leadership team. Work on and complete inbounding exhibits, when not completing the above responsibilities. A report and pictures of damages should be given to the leadership team. Other duties as assigned.
Secondary responsibilities:
Acer understands that there may be times when the Staging Specialist responsibilities are needed by the Dock Specialist. They are as follows. (Some responsibilities may overlap)
  • Select exhibit components from existing inventory or stored exhibits as directed by the Logistics Lead and Logistics Manager and by using CAD drawings.
  • Assemble and dismantle exhibits before and after trade shows using various power tools, ladders and lifts.
  • Prepare by packing, inventorying, and barcoding, outbound shipments of trade show exhibits and properties to destination cities allowing for the timely and seamless set-up of client exhibits at trade shows.
  • Attention to detail, to ensure that all components and parts of the exhibit are packed according to specifications to ensure proper set up and dismantle and to eliminate damage during shipping.
  • Receive inbound shipments documenting components and parts received back from trade show. Document damages, make repair recommendations, and provide reports to the Account Manager.
  • Attend project board meetings.
  • Read and understand schematic (CAD) drawings are a plus but not required, must possess the ability to write legibly.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is clean and organized, at all times.
  • Work well with others in a team environment and possess a positive attitude.
  • Complete weekly timesheets with project details and tasks.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate a standard forklift and aerial lift and become certified.
  • Ability to use 16' ladders and be elevated with mechanical lifts.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stand, stoop, kneel or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting above the shoulders and head is required along with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able and available to work overtime hours including Saturdays when necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
Typical Work Schedule:
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with .5 hr lunch and 1 morning break. The schedule will be revised to include overtime and weekends during critical heavy seasonal periods.
