Title:
Draftsperson We are looking for a full-time Draftsperson to turn creative concepts into precise, buildable drawings and 3D models for experiential spaces, exhibits, installations, retail environments, and fabricated scenic elements. This role partners with design, engineering, and fabrication teams from initial concept through production and installation.

$60000-70000 (including benefits) What you'll do Produce technical documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, assemblies, and shop drawings. Turn sketches, renderings, reference materials, and design direction into fabrication-ready drawings. Create and update 3D models for design development, coordination, visualization, and manufacturing. Prepare CAD and model files for CNC routing, laser cutting, 3D printing, and other digital fabrication needs. Specify dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, tolerances, construction methods, and assembly requirements. Partner with designers, engineers, fabricators, project managers, and creative technologists to address design and production needs. Identify missing details, drawing conflicts, material concerns, and constructability risks before work reaches production. Revise drawings as projects evolve, incorporating feedback from fabrication, installation, and project teams. Support shop visits, prototype reviews, field measurements, and installations as needed. Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and documentation. What you'll bring Experience in theatrical or scenic work, fabrication, exhibits, museums, retail environments, entertainment, set design, or experiential design. Ability to read, create, and interpret technical drawings, sketches, details, and fabrication documentation. Proficiency with 3D modeling tools like CAD, Rhino or Fusion Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, hardware, joinery, construction methods, and production constraints. Strong skills in dimensioning, scale, proportion, spatial relationships, and visual communication. Ability to balance creative intent with practical construction and fabrication requirements. Excellent attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A portfolio showing relevant drafting, 3D modeling, scenic or fabrication drawings, set work, exhibits, props, or experiential projects.
