Job Description

The University of Virginia's College at Wise seeks applications for a Program Support Technician with the working title of Advancement Associate in the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement. Duties include working with the Vice Chancellor for Advancement to draft gifts agreements, prepare drafts of acknowledgement letters, execute administrative work in support of stewardship efforts such as the Giving Thanks Day, Scholarship Luncheon and other important donor initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement, responsibilities include research of key information for Salesforce, our database that holds information on alumni. friends and corporate partners. The Advancement Associate will utilize excel in manipulating complex databases to execute Giving Thanks Day, supporting fundraising and cultivation efforts as well as other key duties. The successful candidate will provide vital administrative support to the Advancement Office and assist with donor events, initiatives, and projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and excellent time management skills are essential. The position requires the ability to prioritize, manage, organize and perform duties in a timely manner with great attention to detail. The successful candidate will be expected to utilize all technology available to constantly achieve efficiencies and effectiveness of the position. In addition, the position works closely with partners at the University of Virginia in processing complex gift agreements and stewardship initiatives. Some weekend and evening work is required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or its equivalent is required
Experience:
In Higher Education is preferred.

Anticipated Salary:
