Design Review Technician

Job Description

Arrowhead Industrial Services USA, Inc. (AISI) is seeking a Design Review Technician. This role provides technical and documentation support for design review activities under close supervision. The role focuses on gathering and organizing design information, performing basic checks and calculations as directed, supporting test and qualification documentation, and maintaining accurate records to support AISI's quality and certification processes. This position is also responsible for general administrative duties and reception duties

  • 4:30 pm Major Duties & Responsibilities Design Review Support
  • 40% Collect drawings, calculations, specifications, and related design documents for review. Perform basic data checks (dimensions, units, material callouts, pressures) against checklists and instructions provided by senior staff. Enter and update design review comments, questions, and action items into standard templates and tracking logs.​ Testing and Qualification Support
  • 30% Help prepare and format design qualification and type‑test lists, tables, and data sheets based on direction from senior engineers.
Assist with organizing test results, linking them to the correct design versions, samples, and work orders. Draft simple tables, summaries, and attachments that senior staff incorporate into technical reports and approval packages. Draft test reports from data that is supplied Review / Format appearance of test reports. Applying digital signatures to in-house and offsite reports Documentation and Records
  • 10% Maintain orderly electronic and paper files for design reviews, test data, and correspondence according to established procedures.
Use current, approved forms and templates and report any discrepancies or missing documents to senior staff. Update status trackers (e.g., design review progress, open items, received test results) as instructed. Cross‑Functional Coordination-10% Communicate routine information and document requests to internal teams (quality, lab, inspection, operations) using clear, professional language. Attend internal meetings as requested to take notes, update tracking lists, and follow up on assigned tasks. Route technical questions from other departments or clients to the appropriate senior engineer or manager. General administrative tasks as needed. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. Receptionist duties

Quality and Continuous Improvement Support-5% Communicate routine information and document requests to internal teams (quality, lab, inspection, operations) using clear, professional language. Attend internal meetings as requested to take notes, update tracking lists, and follow up on assigned tasks. Route technical questions from other departments or clients to the appropriate senior engineer or manager. Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned
  • 5% Knowledge & Abilities Basic understanding of mechanics of materials and introductory pressure boundary concepts.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and simple technical specifications with guidance. Proficiency with common office software (spreadsheets, word processing, email); basic familiarity with CAD or calculation tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail when checking numbers, units, and cross references. Clear written and verbal communication skills and willingness to ask questions when unsure. Ability to follow detailed instructions, manage assigned tasks, and work collaboratively in a team environment. Understanding of ISO, DOT, TC, CGA, and relevant Special Permit requirements governing cylinder liner manufacture and inspection.​ Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, ultrasonic thickness devices, thread gauges, and bore gauges, including proper use and basic calibration concepts.​ Ability to work safely around sharp edges, flying debris, dust, noise, and material handling hazards while properly using required PPE.​
Job Requirements Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline preferred; candidates close to completion of a degree or with equivalent technical education may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
1+ years of exposure to mechanical design, pressure equipment, or structural analysis.

$21.99
