Video Producer / Videographer + Editor (YouTube) Beat-Sonic USA, Inc. La Mirada, CA Job Details Full-time From $19 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Retention metrics analysis Web analytics reporting Adobe Audition Engagement rate tracking Social media engagement tracking YouTube Adobe Lightroom Adobe Premiere Data analytics Video effects application Marketing analytics Data-driven content Promotional video projects Adobe After Effects Lighting for video production Motion graphics editing Media editing tools Full Job Description Beat-Sonic USA is the US branch of Beat-Sonic Japan. Since 2007 we have built 12-volt audio, camera and infotainment upgrades for Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Subaru owners, and we sell them direct to the people who drive them. YouTube is how most of those people meet us. We are looking for the person who owns that channel. This is not a "cut the footage we hand you" job. You take a video from idea to upload. You plan the shoot, run the camera, direct on set, cut the edit, build the thumbnail, write the title and description, publish it, then read the analytics and use them to make the next one better. You work with a team. A video editor supports you, cutting videos alongside you and helping with thumbnails and graphics, while you stay on the shoot, the story and the numbers. Responsibilities Own the Beat-Sonic USA YouTube channel end to end, long-form and Shorts.
Hold the upload schedule:
3 long-form videos and 4 to 5 Shorts published every week. Plan and run shoots at our La Mirada facility and on location: concepts, shot lists, scheduling vehicles and installs with our tech team. Shoot it yourself. Camera, lighting, audio, and directing talent on set.
Edit and finish:
graphics, animation, music, color, sound design, exports. Direct the video editor supporting you. Split the edits, set deadlines, give notes, keep thumbnails and quality consistent across everything that goes out. Build thumbnails and write titles from our playbook, which is based on our own click-through data. Write descriptions, tags, timestamps and platform-specific captions for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. Own the analytics in
YouTube Studio:
click-through rate, average view duration, retention curves, subscriber growth, traffic sources. Report monthly on what is working and change what is not. Support photo and graphic needs, plus a few events per year. Requirements 3+ years shooting and editing video, including at least 1 year accountable for a channel or content program. Reel or portfolio. We want work you shot AND edited, not only edits of someone else's footage. Adobe Creative Cloud. Premiere Pro and After Effects required. Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition and Media Encoder used regularly. Hands-on camera and lighting skill. You build the shot, you do not wait for someone to build it for you. YouTube analytics. You can walk us through click-through rate, retention and traffic sources on a channel you worked on, and what you changed because of them. Bring real numbers. Comfortable directing people on camera, including staff who are not professional talent. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles and installs. Reliable daily commute to La Mirada, CA. This role is in person. Available a few weekends per year for events, maybe travel. Automotive enthusiast preferred. Hiring process Application with your reel and your analytics answer. Phone screen. In-person interview at our La Mirada facility. Paid test project, 2 to 3 hours. A short shoot and edit so both sides know the fit is right. What we offer Full ownership of a channel, a video editor supporting you, and the product to work with, not a content calendar handed down to you. A team that ships. Installs happen here every week, so there is always something to shoot. Room to grow into running the entire content operation as the channel grows. Pay and benefits $19+ per hour based on experience, plus 10% of the monthly YouTube monetization payout after the probationary period, plus an annual bonus based on overall company and YouTube performance. Benefits available after a 3-month probationary period: 401(k), 401(k) matching, employee discount, health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays.
