Videographer & Video Editor Beginners & Students Welcome Koru & Ivy, LLC Roseville, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $30 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Social media content Videography Video editing File organization Media editing tools Full Job Description About the role I run a marketing company that works with beauty and aesthetics businesses. I'm on camera a lot — teaching, talking through strategy, walking through what we do — and I need someone local who can follow me for a couple hours a week, capture it well, and turn it into short-form video I can actually post. This is not a corporate media team. It's me and you. You'll be in the room, on location, capturing b-roll and talking-head footage, then editing it into vertical video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. About the editing — read this part This is not cinematic work and I don't want it to be. Social video performs better when it looks real, not produced. What I need is fast, clean, native-feeling content: tight cuts, good captions, decent audio, the dead air trimmed out. That's it. No motion graphics. No heavy color grading. No cinematic transitions or sound design. If it looks like an ad, it's wrong. Fast and good beats slow and perfect here, every time. This is a good role for someone starting out I'm hiring for potential, not resume. Students, recent grads, career changers, and self-taught editors are all welcome. Here's the honest trade. I'm not paying production-company rates — I can't. What I can give you is a steady paycheck, consistent weekly reps, real footage from real shoots, direct feedback from someone who does marketing for a living, and a reel that shows dozens of finished pieces instead of three class projects. If you're trying to build a body of work and get fast, this job does that quicker than almost anything else you can take right now. If you're in school, I'll work around your class schedule. Shoot times are flexible and set in advance. The work Shooting is 2-3 hours a week, on location around Roseville, scheduled in advance. The rest of your time is editing, on your own schedule. Each week you'd deliver: 8-10 finished UGC-style videos — vertical, captioned, cut tight, ready to post 16-20 b-roll clips — trimmed, labeled, ready to drop into other videos A clean, organized file library so anything we shot in March is still findable in September This is a volume role. If you like turning footage around quickly, you'll do well. If you prefer to spend three days on one piece, this isn't the fit. The first month is a ramp while you learn my brand and my shot list. After that, the weekly numbers are the job. Volume and schedule may shift over time. If the content performs, the scope and the pay grow with it. What I'm looking for You live within 30 minutes of Roseville and can get to local shoots reliably. This is the hard requirement. You can edit, and you work quickly. CapCut, DaVinci, Premiere, Final Cut, Instagram Edits — doesn't matter. I care about the finished video, not the software. You have an eye for short-form. You watch this content and you know why some of it holds attention and some of it doesn't. You shoot on your own equipment. A modern phone with a gimbal and a decent mic is completely fine. You do not need a cinema camera. You're organized about files and you hit deadlines. What I don't need Years of experience. Studio broadcast work, theatrical lighting, live event production, or an Adobe certification. If that's your background, fine, but it isn't what this job is. Footage All footage and finished video belongs to me and I can use it anywhere. You're welcome to use anything you shoot or cut in your own portfolio and reel, with credit. I want you to have the work. How to apply Send two or three links to short-form video you edited yourself. Class projects, personal projects, spec work, or your own social accounts all count — it does not have to be paid work. That's all I need to start. We'll cover everything else on a call.
