Sports Videographer & Social Media Video Editor Legends Sports Photography / MyStyle Photography Valley Stream, NY Shoots throughout Long Island and NYC We're looking for a creative videographer/editor to help us grow our athlete reels and sports video offerings. At Legends Sports Photography, we photograph youth and high school athletes and create content that makes them feel like the pros. Through our MyStyle division, we bring that experience to life with media days, dramatic lighting, athlete introductions, and energetic video edits. We need someone who enjoys both filming and editing—someone who can bring ideas to a shoot, help athletes feel comfortable on camera, and turn footage into polished videos families are excited to purchase and share. What you'll do Film individual athletes and teams during media days, scheduled sessions, and select sporting events. Create short vertical athlete reels, team hype videos, and behind-the-scenes content for Instagram and other social platforms. Coach athletes through simple movements, expressions, and poses to capture confident, engaging footage. Edit footage using strong pacing, music, sound effects, color correction, and tasteful motion graphics. Incorporate athlete names, team logos, final photographs, and company branding into finished videos. Work from repeatable shot lists and editing templates while contributing fresh creative ideas. Organize footage by event, team, and athlete so every video features the correct person and information. Meet production deadlines, check your work carefully, and handle revisions. Create promotional content that showcases our work and helps generate interest in athlete reels and future bookings. Who we're looking for A portfolio showing strong filming and editing skills, especially short social videos, sports content, music videos, or similar work. A good eye for lighting, composition, movement, and visual storytelling. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or a comparable editing platform. Comfort working with cameras, lighting, stabilizers, and basic audio equipment. Ability to balance creative quality with an efficient workflow when producing multiple athlete reels. Strong organization, attention to detail, and dependable communication. A friendly, professional presence when working with athletes, parents, coaches, and our crew. Availability for local shoots, including some weekends during our busy sports seasons. Experience with motion graphics, photography, and sports media days is a plus.
