Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Content Writer to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content that drives traffic, increases brand awareness, and supports our overall marketing goals. This role requires a strong understanding of SEO best practices (and a willingness to learn AI/answer engine optimization, or AEO/GEO, practices), excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to create content for a variety of platforms and audiences. Our content writer must have a passion for writing and storytelling with a journalist's mindset and an obsession with written content performance, content management, and analytics.

Responsibilities:

Publish at least 2-3 new written pieces per week Research and develop compelling content for various platforms, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media, email campaigns, and more. Optimize content for both traditional search engines (SEO) and AI-driven answer engines (AEO/GEO), like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, to increase visibility and organic traffic. Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create visually appealing content that aligns with brand guidelines. Proofread and edit all content for accuracy, clarity, and grammar. Track and analyze content performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content marketing. Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Create guides, one-pagers, flyers, and other visual resources using tools like Adobe InDesign. Assist with light website updates, including writing new page copy and building basic page layouts from our existing templates in HubSpot.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience (2+ years) as a Content Writer or similar role. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong understanding of SEO principles and content marketing strategies. Ability to write in a variety of styles and tones for different audiences. Experience using content management systems (CMS), such as HubSpot (our CMS), and analytics tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective content requirements. Experience with analytics platforms such as SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console is a plus. Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Canva) is a plus. Experience with Google's suite of tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus. Experience with, or interest in learning, AI/answer engine optimization (AEO/GEO) is a plus; expertise is not expected.
