Job Summary Tec Centro Capital Region is seeking a part-time English as Second Language (ESL) Instructor help teach English to adult learners that have been assessed at a beginner's level. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult education and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities 1. Conduct classes, workshops and demonstrations to teach English language verbal and written skills to help participants improve their communication, social and workforce entry skills. 2. Provide information, guidance and preparation for the ESL course. 3. Help assess English language skill level of participants for placement in appropriate skill level class 4. Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, make suggestions for improvement and develop personal action plans for students to practice and improve their English proficiency. 5. Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction and experiential learning that provides students with opportunities to learn, actively engage in exercises and ask questions or seek support if additional help is needed. 6. Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions and demonstrations. 7. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. 8. Communicate clear objectives on lessons or projects to students. 9. Establish expectations and maintain an orderly, nurturing environment that is conducive to learning. 10. Prepare and administer written or oral performance assessments to evaluate progress and maintain appropriate data to report on outcomes. Record gains achieved. 11. Use computers, audiovisual aids and other equipment and materials to supplement classroom lessons. 12. Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or state requirements, if applicable. 13. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs, abilities and interests. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field with teaching experience or equivalent combination of education and experience of at least two years
• Strong communication skills with ability to educate diverse groups of adult learners by effectively presenting information and engaging with them to achieve successful progress and outcomes.
• Ability to collect and analyze data and compile statistical information to monitor and report on performance
