Job Summary:

The Workforce Development (WFD) Instructor

• GED is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to adult learners preparing for the GED exam.

This position supports student achievement by providing engaging, competency-based instruction aligned with state standards and workforce readiness goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Secondary Education or related field. Two or more years of adult teaching experience.

Licensing Requirements:

Job Specific Task List:

Provide instruction in GED subject areas (Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies)

• (Essential) Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with adult education standards and learner needs
• (Essential) Assess student progress and adjust instruction to support academic growth and GED readiness
• (Essential) Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
• (Essential) Support student engagement, retention, and goal attainment within a workforce development setting
• (Essential) Collaborate with program staff to support student success and workforce readiness outcomes
• (Essential) Perform other duties assigned
